About this job
Our company in San Antonio, TX is looking for an experienced truck driver to move goods and materials between locations. You'll plan efficient routes, keep deliveries on time, and handle basic vehicle upkeep and inspections.
What you'll do
- Haul materials and goods from pickup points to drop-off locations
- Check your truck regularly and take care of preventative maintenance
- Choose safe, efficient travel routes
- Stay on schedule for deliveries
- Keep accurate logs of hours worked, rest breaks, and fuel costs
- Follow all company rules and traffic/driving regulations
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Prior truck driving experience preferred
- Trucking school certificate a plus
- Comfortable using GPS, CB radios, and AVL tracking tools
- Solid knowledge of trucking laws and regulations
- Clean driving history
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Ready to travel often and drive long distances
