About this job
Our company is looking for a commercial driver to haul freight on local and over-the-road routes, with possible refrigerated, flatbed, tanker or auto-transport work. Pay runs $28.21 - $33.97 per hour for about 26-38 hours a week.
What you'll haul
- General freight by tractor-trailer, potentially including refrigerated loads, flatbeds, tankers, or vehicle transport
- Hazardous materials or dangerous goods, but only on assignments where you're authorized and trained for it
What you'll do
- Navigate local and OTR routes with GPS and dispatch instructions
- Check your rig before and after each trip and flag any maintenance or safety issues
- Load, secure and unload cargo, including hands-on freight handling
- Keep accurate delivery records and report any issues on the road
Requirements
- Background in commercial, route or delivery driving
- Comfortable with a manual transmission and tractor-trailer handling; experience with reefers, flatbeds, tankers or car hauling is a plus
- Familiarity with FMCSA and DOT rules, plus hazmat regulations (hazmat experience preferred)
- Safe cargo handling and dependable navigation skills
- Must meet all licensing and regulatory requirements for the job
Pay
$28.21 - $33.97 per hour, for roughly 26 to 38 hours weekly
