About this job
Our company is looking for a truck driver to haul freight across the Southeast, running tractor-trailers, reefer trailers and dry vans. You'll keep loads moving on schedule while meeting safety standards.
Pay
- $1,500.00 - $1,750.00 per week
What you'll haul
- Freight using tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers and dry van trailers
- Live loads and unloads
Responsibilities
- Run pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks
- Stick to assigned routes while adjusting for traffic and delivery windows
- Strap and secure cargo so it doesn't shift or get damaged
- Track your hours, deliveries and maintenance records
- Stay in touch with dispatch on load status and any problems on the road
Requirements
- Valid CDL with endorsements for the equipment you'll run
- Prior experience driving trucks and delivering freight, day or night
- Familiarity with cargo securement and safety rules
- Comfortable with live load and unload work
- Careful with inspections and paperwork
- Manual and automatic transmission skills preferred
