Our company in Augusta, GA needs an over-the-road truck driver to haul freight across varied routes using tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers. You'll handle everything from loading to hazmat compliance while keeping deliveries on schedule.
Pay
- $2,900.00 to $6,000.00 per week
What you'll haul
- Tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers on OTR routes
- Hazardous materials and dangerous goods, following HMR and DOT guidelines
What the job involves
- Planning and adjusting routes using GPS for on-time delivery
- Manually loading and unloading freight and securing cargo properly
- Logging driving hours, deliveries, and inspections per FMCSA rules
- Checking your truck before and after each trip for safety or maintenance issues
- Staying in touch with dispatch and customers to coordinate and confirm deliveries
Requirements
- Commercial driving experience, including route and delivery work
- Valid CDL; hazmat, tanker, or refrigerated endorsements preferred
- Comfortable and skilled driving manual transmission trucks
- Familiar with FMCSA, DOT, and hazardous materials regulations, plus cargo handling practices
- Experience navigating with GPS and adjusting routes in real time
