About this job
Our company in Electra, TX is looking for a CDL hot shot driver for 1099 OTR work. You'll haul varied loads to different clients, handling everything from route planning to loading and unloading.
Pay
- Starts at $900.00 per week
- Performance bonuses on top of base pay
- This is a 1099 position
What you'll haul
- Mixed freight for a range of clients, delivering to customers, warehouses, or job sites
- Experience with 40ft trailers is preferred
What the job involves
- Driving your assigned routes safely and delivering on time
- Loading and unloading cargo yourself, which includes heavy lifting
- Mapping out efficient routes to hit deadlines
- Keeping your vehicle clean and doing regular safety checks
- Staying in touch with dispatch and clients about schedules or any delivery issues
- Treating customers professionally throughout each interaction
Requirements
- Valid CDL with a clean driving record
- Current medical card
- Clean background check
- Prior delivery driving experience, especially with 40ft trailers
- Comfortable managing multiple deliveries and load/unload work
- Solid customer service skills
- Basic mechanical know-how is a plus but not required if you're willing to learn
