About this job
Our company is hiring company drivers to run local and OTR freight across a mix of equipment types. Depending on assignment, you could be behind the wheel of a tractor-trailer, reefer, flatbed, tanker, dump truck or roll-off, moving freight safely and on schedule.
Pay
- Starting at $0.72 per mile
What you'll haul
- Assignments can include dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump or auto-transport loads depending on need
Responsibilities
- Navigate assigned routes with GPS and stay in contact about any schedule or routing changes
- Load and secure cargo yourself or with a forklift if you're certified
- Check your truck and freight before and during trips, log required paperwork, and flag any issues
- Stay compliant with DOT and FMCSA rules, including hazmat/dangerous goods standards when applicable
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license matching the equipment and freight you're assigned
- Prior experience driving trucks or making deliveries is a plus, including tractor-trailer and manual transmission experience
- Familiarity with hazmat rules, proper loading/unloading, and DOT/FMCSA regulations is valued
- Must satisfy Swift Transportation's driver requirements
