CDL Flatbed Delivery Driver — $78,000–$85,000/yr

Our company in Charlotte, NC is looking for a CDL driver to handle flatbed deliveries of merchandise, materials and equipment to regional and local customers. The role pays $78,000 to $85,000 a year, with $78,000 as the minimum salary, and prior flatbed hauling experience is a plus.

What you'll haul

• Flatbed loads of merchandise, materials and equipment

• Cargo must be properly secured, including tarping when needed

What you'll do

• Drive commercial vehicles over 26,001 lbs to deliver and pick up goods on time

• Safely position trucks for loading and unloading, and load/unload as needed

• Complete FMCSA-required daily vehicle inspections and file DVIRs

• Track your hours and activity through an electronic logging device

• Review shipping paperwork, confirm accuracy, and get signatures or payment on delivery

• Report any accidents, violations or vehicle damage right away

Requirements

• About 1 year of commercial driving experience with similar cargo is preferred

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Valid CDL matching the vehicle you'll drive

• Must pass a road test and meet the company's insurability standards

• Must meet FMCSA driver qualification rules (49 CFR part 391) and clearinghouse requirements

• Clean MVR per federal and company guidelines

• No drug violations in the last 5 years, or completion of a certified SAP program if older

• Comfortable with basic math and measurement tasks and reading work instructions

• Able to work well with supervisors, coworkers and customers
