CDL Dump Truck Driver — $25.00–$30.00/hr

Duties

• Run your truck safely, following FMCSA and DOT rules

• Load and unload cargo by hand, securing any hazardous materials properly

• Use GPS to plan and follow routes, including longer over-the-road trips

• Keep accurate records of hours, cargo and routes as FMCSA requires

• Check your truck before and after each trip for safety and compliance

• Stay in contact with dispatch about scheduling, route changes or problems on the road

Requirements

• Valid CDL, with tractor-trailer, tanker, flatbed or refrigerated trailer endorsements as needed

• Past experience driving trucks, making deliveries or hauling freight, including loading and unloading

• Comfortable with cargo handling and loading/unloading procedures

• Able to use GPS and plan efficient routes

• Solid knowledge of FMCSA, DOT and hazmat safety rules

• Able to drive manual transmission trucks and do physical loading work

• Clean driving record; hazmat hauling experience is a plus

• Physically able to handle long hours and manual tasks on the road
