Local CDL-A Driver — $25–$30/hr, Drop & Hook

This local driving job in Kansas City, MO has you running dry van freight on day cab tractors with drop-and-hook operations, so you're not waiting around for loading or unloading. You'll report to the Operations Manager and there's room to move up into roles like Lead Driver, Driver Trainer, Fleet Supervisor, or Dispatch Coordinator.

Pay

• $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, paid weekly

What you'll haul

• Dry van freight on local routes using day cab tractors

• Drop-and-hook setups, not live load/unload

What you'll do

• Handle pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your rig

• Log your hours and driving activity through an electronic logging device

• Keep delivery paperwork accurate and submitted on time

• Follow DOT rules and the company's safety procedures

Requirements

• Experience operating commercial vehicles, including drop-and-hook work

• Comfortable using ELDs

• Understanding of DOT compliance and defensive driving

• Able to complete pre-trip checks and follow assigned routes

• Good time management, safety mindset, and customer service skills

• A year or more of truck driving experience, a valid Class A CDL, and a current DOT medical card are preferred
