About this job

Our company contracts independent drivers to deliver units on over-the-road routes across the country. You work as a 1099 independent contractor, not a company driver or owner-operator, and you choose which loads fit your schedule across divisions like Singles, New Deck, Used Deck, and Boom. Despite the company name, this is solo work only, no team driving.

Pay

  • Pay runs $0.72 - $1.55 per mile plus a fuel surcharge on most divisions, with the rate depending on the load and division
  • Same-day pay kicks in once your paperwork and logs are submitted and approved
  • Extra earning opportunities include referral, clean inspection, mileage, load, and safety bonuses

Schedule and loads

  • You pick your own loads but need to stay active with 3-5 completed per month
  • Most runs fall between 300 and 800 miles depending on customer needs
  • Expect to run roughly 2-5 loads monthly while controlling your own schedule
  • A weekly check-in with your dispatcher is required even during weeks you're not hauling

Requirements

  • Valid CDL-A or CDL-B (deck positions need a Double/Triple endorsement)
  • At least 1 year of verifiable OTR commercial driving experience in the last 3 years; deck roles require 2 years OTR experience plus 1 year of decking/un-decking work
  • Rideshare or delivery app driving (Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Spark, etc.) doesn't count toward experience
  • A reasonably clean driving record and steady work history
  • Ability to supply DOT numbers from past employers and documentation of companies you've hauled for over the last 3 years
  • Solid understanding of DOT hours-of-service rules, with daily electronic logs kept through the Motive app (no paper logs)
  • Your own tools and equipment for decking and un-decking
  • On-time submission of paperwork and strong communication with dispatch
  • Reliable, on-time arrival for every pickup and delivery
  • A professional, positive approach to the work
  • Real-time load tracking through MacroPoint for Truckers
  • Logged pre-trip and post-trip inspections on every load, with photo documentation
  • You cover your own fuel and should keep at least a quarter tank during transport
  • Escrow, occupational/accidental insurance, and deductible buy-back insurance are required; details are shared during the application process

Benefits

This is a 1099 contractor position, so no traditional employee benefits are included.

The hiring carrier's name is shared with you once you apply through the DriverRoll app, where you can message them directly.
