About this job
Our company needs a CDL holder to work as a 1099 independent contractor hauling vehicles and equipment between the dealership and partner locations. You'll tow trailers behind a CDL-class truck and keep everything moving on schedule.
What you'll haul
- Vehicles, trailers and equipment moved between the dealership and outside partner sites
Responsibilities
- Tow trailers safely up to the allowed weight limits
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip truck and trailer checks per DOT rules
- Log deliveries and mileage accurately
- Secure loads properly for transport
- Keep dealership staff updated on routes and schedules
- Represent the dealership professionally on the road
Requirements
- Valid CDL with a clean driving record
- Prior experience towing trailers and hauling vehicles
- Familiarity with DOT rules and safe driving habits
- Detail-oriented and safety-minded
Pay
You're paid as a 1099 contractor at a per-trip or per-mile rate set when you're engaged for work. You cover your own taxes and insurance.
