Our company's Frito-Lay division is hiring a CDL-A tractor-trailer driver based in Dayville, CT, delivering snack brands like Lay's, Doritos, and Cheetos to local stores. Schedule varies based on bidding, with shifts that can run up to 14 hours and driving time up to 11 hours per day, including holidays and weekends.

What you'll haul

• Snack food products delivered to grocery stores, Frito-Lay plants, storage units, and other distribution points

Responsibilities

• Drive a tractor-trailer safely in line with federal motor carrier rules

• Load and unload freight by hand, pallet jack, or two-wheeler, sometimes lifting overhead

• Get delivery signatures, handle returns, and manage paperwork and invoices

• Operate an electronic logging device and perform pre- and post-trip inspections

• Stay in contact with customers, sales drivers, and dispatch

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Valid Class A CDL

• 100,000+ accident-free miles or 2,500+ accident-free hours

• Able to work weekends and holidays

• Able to lift 15-50 lbs, stand and walk for long stretches, and sit up to 5 hours a day

• Able to work shifts up to 14 hours, driving up to 11 hours
