CDL-B Local Route Driver — $28.00/HR

CrossCountry Freight Solutions is hiring a CDL-B local route delivery driver in Dallas, TX. You'll run a set daytime shift hauling freight between the terminal and customer stops, handling the loading and paperwork along the way.

Pay

• $28.00/HR

Schedule

• Shift runs 9 AM to 5 PM

• Reports to the Service Center Manager

What you'll haul

• Freight moving to and from customer locations and the terminal, as directed by dispatch or your supervisor

• You'll load, unload, sort and palletize freight by hand or with equipment like dollies and carts

Requirements

• Valid Class B CDL

• Minimum age 21

• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience

• No DUI or DWI convictions in the past 3 years

• No more than 3 traffic violations in the past 3 years

• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required, or willingness to get them (renewal costs reimbursed)

• Able to complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and keep shipping paperwork in order for DOT checks

• Able to get in and out of the cab repeatedly, move freight/pallets up to 2,500 pounds using mechanical aids (up to 130 pounds of force), carry loads up to 40 pounds for up to 20 feet, and handle tasks like hooking/unhooking trailers, working the fifth wheel and pintle hook, raising and lowering landing gear, and checking fluid levels
