About this job

Our company is looking for a CDL-B Driver/Operator based in Rubicon, WI. You'll haul and deliver bulk and packaged explosives, then run mobile manufacturing equipment at customer sites to produce blasting products. The role mixes driving with hands-on physical work outdoors.

What you'll do

  • Safely operate delivery vehicles and mobile manufacturing units (MMUs), spending roughly 20-30% of your time driving and the rest on physical labor with hand tools and shovels outdoors
  • Transport and handle goods, inventory, and hazardous materials, including explosives, to customer locations
  • Load and unload materials, including overhead bin loading that requires fall protection
  • Run bulk equipment on-site to create blasting products, controlling chemical inputs precisely for consistent quality
  • Complete pre- and post-trip inspections, keep driving and delivery logs, confirm loads against manifests, and track your hours
  • Follow all regulatory and company rules for handling and delivering explosives
  • Report any equipment issues to your Location Manager

Requirements

  • Valid Class A or Class B CDL with a clean driving record
  • Must be 21 or older per DOT rules
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Comfortable reading gauges, troubleshooting field issues, and keeping accurate records of product use and safety checks
  • Able to work early or non-traditional hours
  • Must meet state and federal explosive laws and qualify as an ATF explosive possessor
  • Hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements preferred; manual transmission experience is a plus
  • Reliable transportation to get to work

Reporting

You'll report to the Location Manager for daily work, and follow the Blaster-In-Charge's direction when on customer sites.

Work environment

Expect outdoor work in all weather, physical tasks, and lifting around 50 lbs using material handling and safety equipment.

Equal opportunity

Our company is an equal opportunity employer and follows applicable affirmative action and nondiscrimination laws.
