About this job
Our company is hiring CDL and Non-CDL drivers in Chelmsford, MA for local delivery routes, Monday through Friday with a 5am start. Pay depends on license class.
Pay
- CDL A: $29/hr
- CDL B: $28/hr
- Non-CDL: $21/hr
Home time
- Home daily, Monday-Friday schedule starting around 5am
What you'll do
- Pick up, deliver and transport company product on an assigned route
- Inspect your vehicle before driving to confirm safety and mechanical systems are in order
- Confirm delivery instructions and plan routes, adjusting as conditions change
- Keep accurate logs of hours, mileage, fuel use and vehicle condition per DOT/FMCSA rules
- Communicate with dispatch using GPS and radio/phone
- Load and unload freight with equipment as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of driving experience
- Valid Class A or B CDL for CDL roles
- Current DOT medical card
- Tanker and doubles endorsements may be required depending on the vehicle assigned
- Clean driving record
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
