About this job
Our company is looking for a CDL Class A driver to haul freight, with openings covering local delivery, short-line regional runs (CA/AZ/NV), and long-haul routes across the Central US and East. You'll be responsible for getting loads to customers safely and on time while keeping operations running smoothly.
Pay
- Local delivery positions are paid hourly
- Short line and long haul roles are paid by the mile plus extra pay
- Short line and long haul drivers earned between $70,000 and $95,000 in 2025, depending on how many loads they accepted
- Overall posted pay range: $65,000 - $95,000 a year
What you'll haul
- Tractor-trailer freight, including manual transmission equipment for local runs
What you'll do
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections for DOT compliance
- Follow planned routes and schedules, keeping accurate delivery paperwork
- Stay in contact with dispatch about delivery progress or any issues
- Secure freight and keep your truck clean and road-ready
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license
- Comfortable handling manual transmission tractor-trailers
- Safe driving history
- Able to physically handle freight and load securement
