About this job
Our company in Houston, TX is hiring a Class A CDL truck driver to move materials and goods between locations. You will plan your routes, stay on delivery schedules and keep the truck inspected and maintained, with safety as the top priority.
What you'll do
- Haul materials and goods from pickup to drop-off
- Choose the safest, most efficient route and keep to delivery times
- Load and unload freight when needed
- Run routine safety checks and preventative maintenance, and keep the truck clean
- Log your mileage, fuel use and maintenance work
- Follow company policies and traffic laws, and report any incident, accident or violation right away
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- TWIC card
- Clean driving record
- Good knowledge of truck driving laws and regulations
- Ready to travel regularly, including long distances
- Prior truck driving experience is preferred
