CDL-A Truck Driver — Home Daily, $29.35–$36.30/hr

Our company is looking for a CDL-A truck driver in Sidney, ME to run tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples, on a home-daily schedule. You'll handle loading, unloading and customer service along the way.

Pay

• Expected range of $29.35 to $36.30 per hour, based on an annual step progression

• Actual rate depends on your experience and skill set

• Classified as Motor Carrier Act Exempt

Home time

• You return home every day

Schedule

• Shifts can run 12-14 hours and may fall on days, nights or weekends

• You may drive up to 11 consecutive hours, in any weather, hauling hazardous or non-hazardous materials

What you'll haul

• Tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Valid Class A CDL

• Clean driving history

• Willing to get hazmat, tanker and doubles/triples endorsements within 90 days if you don't already have them

• Must pass a DOT drug screen, with no positive tests or refusals in the past 3 years

• Valid DOT medical card, or you'll complete a company-paid physical

• Able to read and speak English well enough to talk with the public, understand road signs, respond to official requests and fill out reports

• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and over 75 lbs occasionally, move a converter dolly (about 128 lbs of pull force), climb in and out of the cab, stand and walk on uneven or slick surfaces, and bend, twist, reach, push, pull, squat and kneel as needed

• Forklift experience and existing hazmat, tanker and doubles/triples endorsements are a plus but not required
