About this job
Our company needs a CDL-A driver to haul low-bed loads of heavy machinery around Maine and the rest of New England, working out of Poland, Maine. Prior experience is a plus, but they'll train the right person.
Pay
- $65,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year, full-time
What you'll haul
- Heavy machinery on low-bed trailers
- Routes throughout Maine and other New England states
Schedule
- Day and night shifts possible
- Be ready for extended hours, weekends, overnights and holiday work when the job calls for it
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Tanker endorsement preferred
- Working knowledge of FMCSA rules and regulations
- Able to lift 50 lbs and handle chains and binders to secure loads
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather, including extreme heat, with long hours on your feet or seated and exposure to loud equipment noise
- Safety-focused mindset and good communication with your crew
- Report any equipment damage, hazards or accidents to your supervisor right away
