About this job
Our company is looking for a Class A CDL driver in Appleton, WI, running solo routes to WI, MN and IL with a day cab pulling dry van and Conestoga trailers. You'll be home every day, working a Monday through Friday schedule.
Pay
- $27.00 per hour, plus overtime after 40 hours
- Paid weekly
- Weekly average on this account is $1250, with employees here earning $1385 or more
Schedule and home time
- Monday through Friday, 7AM to 4PM
- Home daily
What you'll haul
- Solo deliveries to Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois
- Day cab tractor pulling dry van and Conestoga trailers
- Freight is touch, and you'll use a forklift and pallet jack (our company trains you on this equipment)
- Manual transmission experience is preferred
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class A CDL with the right endorsements for the role
- Verifiable tractor-trailer experience: 9 months in the last 3 years, OR 2 years in the last 5 years, OR 5 years in the last 10 years
- Must pass a drug test, background check, motor vehicle check (including drug/alcohol verification from past employers for the last 3 years), DOT physical and a our company road test
- Able to follow instructions and apply relevant laws, rules and procedures
- Some positions may require extra screening such as employment/education verification or customer-specific badging
Responsibilities
- Following applicable laws, regulations and safety standards
- Spotting and addressing safety hazards
- Keeping accurate logs and records
- Loading and unloading freight when the customer requires it
- Other duties as assigned
