About this job
Our company in Atlanta, GA is looking for a CDL-A truck driver comfortable handling a mix of equipment and routes. You'll work with flatbed, refrigerated, tanker and dump trailers, among other specialized rigs, on both short and long hauls.
Pay
- $30.00 per hour
- Full-time or part-time
What you'll haul
- Flatbed, regional lane freight, refrigerated trailers, tankers and dump trucks
- Manual transmission equipment included in the mix
- Loads moved over both short and long distances
What you'll do
- Drive safely while following traffic laws and company safety rules
- Check your vehicle and perform basic maintenance checks before and during trips
- Load and unload freight, using a forklift or other equipment when needed
- Stay in touch with dispatch and keep to delivery schedules
- Keep delivery paperwork accurate and complete
Requirements
- Valid CDL with a clean driving record
- At least 2 years of truck driving experience preferred
- Comfortable operating different truck and trailer types, including manual transmission
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Able to work solo or as part of a team
- Physically able to handle loading and unloading tasks
- Basic knowledge of vehicle repair is a plus
