CDL-A Truck Driver — 1st Shift, $28/hr

Our company in Germantown, WI needs a CDL-A truck driver for 1st shift to move materials, supplies and finished goods between their facilities, outside warehouses, suppliers and partners. You'll report to the Fleet Supervisor and help keep shipments on schedule and products safe.

Schedule

• 1st Shift, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM

• Full-time with steady, year-round hours (no seasonal layoffs)

• Some overtime, weekend work and shift changes may be needed to match business needs

Pay

• Base pay of $28/hr

• Quarterly bonus tied to team performance, up to 6% of wages

• On-demand pay available if you need cash before your regular payday

What you'll haul

• Materials, dunnage and finished goods moved between Gehl Foods plants, outside warehouses, suppliers and other business partners

What you'll do

• Drive commercial trucks and trailers safely, following DOT rules and all company, state and federal requirements

• Check tractors and trailers before and during trips to confirm they're safe and in good working order

• Load and unload freight carefully, securing it properly to avoid damage, injury or loss, with attention to correct weight distribution

• Confirm seals, glad hand locks, dock restraints, jack stands and other safety equipment are used correctly

• Fill out logs, inspection reports, shipping paperwork and any accident reports accurately

• Stay in contact with coworkers and outside partners to hit delivery windows and meet customer needs

• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices, the company's Quality Policy and GFSI food safety standards

• Take on other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid Class A CDL issued in Wisconsin

• Tanker endorsement

• Class H Hazmat endorsement

• At least 5 years of commercial driving experience

• Clean driving history — no accidents or reportable incidents in the last 3 years

• Able to read, write and follow spoken instructions in English

• Comfortable with basic math and solving problems on the job

• Able to juggle priorities and communicate well in a busy production and shipping setting

• Open to a flexible schedule with varying hours and shifts

• Able to drive safely in all kinds of weather and industrial conditions
