About this job
Our company in Midland, TX is hiring a CDL Class A truck driver to haul freight in a tractor-trailer on assigned routes, including over-the-road runs. The equipment you drive depends on the load and may include refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers or auto transport.
Pay
- $10,000.00 - $13,500.00 per month.
What you'll do
- Drive tractor-trailers on local and OTR routes and complete your delivery assignments.
- Load and unload freight, handle cargo by hand when needed, and secure each load safely.
- Inspect your truck and cargo, drive manual-transmission equipment when assigned, and report any safety or equipment problems.
- Work within DOT and FMCSA rules, plus hazmat and dangerous goods regulations where they apply.
Requirements
- A valid CDL Class A.
- Safe commercial truck driving experience.
- Working knowledge of driving safety, delivery procedures and loading and unloading.
- Comfort using GPS navigation and following assigned routes.
Nice to have
- Delivery driver experience.
- Time with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers or auto transport.
- Hazmat qualifications.
- Experience handling freight or manual cargo, or in logistics operations.
- Manual-transmission experience.
