About this job
Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver to haul freight on both local and over-the-road routes out of Elgin, IL. Loads may include dry van or refrigerated trailers depending on the assignment, and freight is no-touch.
Pay
- $1,500.00 - $2,000.00 per week
Routes
- Local runs available within a 250 mile radius
- A dedicated Texas route is also available and pays more
- Schedule can flex around your home and personal time
What you'll haul
- Dry van and refrigerated trailers, depending on the load
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL and ability to operate a tractor-trailer
- Commercial driving experience preferred
- Familiarity with FMCSA and DOT rules, including hours-of-service and inspection requirements
- Refrigerated trailer experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Complete pickups and deliveries safely and on time, locally or OTR
- Inspect your truck and trailer before and after each trip and keep required records
- Coordinate with dispatch using GPS to manage routes and road conditions
