About this job
Our company is looking for a Class A CDL driver to run a regional solo route out of Gilberts, IL, hauling high-end appliances in dry van trailers with touch freight. You'll be home on weekends and paid weekly with a guaranteed minimum.
Pay
- Weekly guarantee of $1,500, based on mileage and stops
- Per diem for every night spent away from home
- $1,500 sign-on bonus
- Paid training while you learn the equipment
Home time
- Monday through Friday schedule, no weekend driving
- Delivers solo across IL, MI, IN, OH, PA, KY and TN
What you'll haul
- Dry van trailers carrying high-end appliances, touch freight
- Mix of sleeper/day cab tractors and occasional 26' straight trucks
- Equipped with pallet jacks, appliance handcarts and lift gates
- Trucks are 36 months old or newer, with 24/7 roadside support and fueling at 800+ locations nationwide
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class A CDL with needed endorsements
- Qualifying tractor-trailer experience: 9 months in the last 3 years, 2 years in the last 5, or 5 years in the last 10
- Clear drug test, background check, MVR review and DOT physical
- Must pass a our company road test
- Able to follow instructions and apply relevant safety regulations
