CDL-A Team Truck Driver — Home Weekly, Avg. 2,500 Mi/Week

Our company runs exclusive line-haul freight for FedEx Ground out of the Portland, OR area, and is looking for a CDL-A team driver to run routes between stations across the US. You'll be home every week, hauling no-touch freight with a steady, reliable customer.

Pay

• Starts at $1.00 per mile

• Weekly average of 2,500 miles per team

• Paid weekly by direct deposit

• Sign-on bonus for the first 4 people hired

• Home weekly

What you'll haul

• No-touch freight for FedEx Ground, running to and from stations around the country

• You'll split the driving with an assigned co-driver

The job

• Run a tractor-trailer in rotation with your co-driver

• Follow all traffic and safety rules

• Do a full inspection of the truck before and after every shift

• Clean the truck at the end of each shift

• Represent the company well at customer warehouses and with coworkers

• Show up on time and give your supervisor advance notice if you can't make a shift

• Stay in touch with your supervisor and the customer as needed

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• Doubles endorsement

• Current DOT medical card

• At least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 5 years in the last 10

• Clean driving and background record, and able to pass a drug screen

• Minimum age 21

• Prior experience with a FedEx contractor is a plus, as is having driven for FedEx Ground before

• Most of the shift is spent driving, with some time waiting at the terminal; expect long periods seated (up to 11 hours), climbing in and out of the cab, and occasional lifting up to 70 lbs for tasks like converting dollies for double trailers or putting on tire chains in winter
