Our company, Inc. is a family-owned transportation company based in Lawrenceville, IL, with a second terminal in Altamont, IL, hauling for the agriculture, civil construction, and petroleum industries. They're looking for Class A CDL drivers for local and regional runs, and they want applicants living in or near Lawrenceville, Robinson, Mount Carmel, or Olney, IL, or Vincennes, IN.
Pay
This full-time role pays $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year.
Home time
Local routes bring occasional overnights with some weekend work. Regional routes involve multiple nights out in the truck, mostly around the Midwest, with weekend availability preferred. This is not a standard long-haul OTR setup.
What you'll haul
You'll deliver products like anhydrous ammonia, propane, liquid asphalt, bio-fuels, renewable fuels, liquid fertilizer, and various agriculture commodities, using tankers and specialized hydraulic equipment. Training is provided for the specialized gear.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with at least 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Tanker and Hazmat endorsements required, though candidates willing to obtain them quickly will be considered, with company-provided training
- Ability to drive manual transmission trucks
- Clean driving record, with no major violations or accidents in the past 3 years
- Comfortable assisting customers with loading and unloading, completing required paperwork, and coordinating with dispatch
- A self-starting attitude and solid teamwork skills
