What you'll haul
- Chemical and vendor products requiring hazmat placarding and tanker handling
Responsibilities
- Deliver products safely and on schedule, following DOT rules
- Load and secure freight, matching paperwork to orders
- Wear proper safety gear when handling chemicals
- Complete pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Coordinate schedules with the Logistics Planner or Plant Manager
- Pick up empty containers from customers when needed
- Follow up with customers on product or service needs
- Help with small plant maintenance tasks between runs
Requirements
- Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
- Current medical card and random drug testing
- Clean driving record, insurable by the company
- Forklift proficiency and some mechanical skills
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical plant work
