CDL-A Shuttle Driver — Home Weekly, Avg $1,650/Week

Our company is looking for a CDL-A Shuttle Driver to run tractor trailers between dispatch sites in the Suffolk, VA area, hauling meats, produce, frozen foods and dry goods for this foodservice distributor.

Schedule

• Sunday through Thursday, with dispatch happening between 2 PM and 5 PM

• Overnight work required

Pay

• Base rate between $20.40 and $30.00 per hour, depending on experience, skills and location

• Drivers average around $1,650 per week

• You may also receive extra pay tied to cases, mileage or stops

What you'll haul

• Tractor trailer loads of meat, produce, frozen items and dry goods moving between remote dispatch points

• You'll also help with backhauls or deliveries when the job calls for it

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with the right endorsements, including a doubles endorsement

• At least 6 months of commercial driving experience; 6 months with doubles endorsement preferred

• Must be 21 or older

• Registered with the FMCSA Clearinghouse

• Comfortable working overnight and in temperatures as low as 0 degrees

• Able to read and communicate in English to understand signs, respond to inquiries and complete paperwork

• Expect to lift, push or pull 20 to 80+ pounds repeatedly through your shift, with 10 or more stops per shift

• Manual transmission experience preferred and may be required at some locations
