CDL-A Route Delivery Driver — $80,000+ Average Yearly Income

Our company is hiring a CDL-A route delivery driver in El Paso, TX. You will deliver food and food-related products to restaurants, hotels, schools and other customers on set routes, and you will be the face of the company with those customers. Average yearly income is $80,000+ with quarterly safety bonus opportunities.

Schedule

• Five days a week between Monday and Saturday, never Sundays. Days off change, so you need to be flexible.

• Dispatch happens between 12 AM and 5 AM, and shifts average 10 hours.

• All work is ramp work.

• Some routes may be team routes or involve overnight layovers.

• Work location: 11451 Chito Samaniego, El Paso, TX 79936.

What you'll do

• Drive a tractor-trailer or straight truck on local, over-the-road, shuttle, overnight and drive-and-drop routes, intrastate and interstate.

• Inspect your equipment before and after each trip and report any safety issue or needed repair right away.

• Check that freight is loaded and secured, and count items against customer invoices.

• Deliver orders on schedule, carry products into customer storage areas, check for damage, and get signatures.

• Collect cash or checks where required, load returns, and handle paperwork for damaged goods.

• Keep your hours-of-service log in line with DOT, state and company rules, and tidy the truck and dock area.

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A and at least 21 years old.

• 12 months of commercial driving experience.

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.

• No problems on your motor vehicle record for the past 3 years.

• Pass a road test, a post-offer drug test and a criminal background check.

• Current DOT health card, or the ability to get one.

• Able to lift and stack cases, typically 10-35 lbs and up to roughly 60-90 lbs at some locations, using a two-wheeler or lift gate.

• Meet any state licensing or certification requirements.
