CDL-A Road Driver — Home Daily, No-Touch Freight, $5K Sign-On

Our company, an LTL carrier with more than 178 service centers across North America, is looking for an experienced CDL-A Road Driver in Mechanicsburg, PA. You'll run regional and non-regional routes hauling freight you won't have to load or unload yourself, and you'll be home every day.

Pay

• Starting rate of $33.90/hr

• Mileage pay of $0.78 per mile solo, or $0.41 per mile when running as a sleeper team

• $5,000 sign-on bonus

• Home daily

What you'll haul

• Palletized and heavy LTL freight

• No-touch freight: you drive it, you don't handle the loading or unloading

• Regional and non-regional routes

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL issued by your state of residence

• Hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements

• At least 21 years old

• Meets all DOT and company qualification standards

• Able to perform the physical demands of the job safely, without risk to yourself or others

• Reads, writes and speaks English

• U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.

• Available to work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays

• Good organizational and time-management skills

• On your application, list your full work history going back 10 years, as required by FMCSA rules

Day to day, you'll handle pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks, secure your cargo before hitting the road, keep accurate logs of your hours and routes, follow all safety and transportation regulations, and stay in touch with dispatch about your schedule or any issues along the way. Strong customer service matters too, since you'll be the face of our company to the people receiving their freight.
