CDL-A Regional Truck Driver — Average $130,000/yr, Home Weekends

Penske Logistics needs full-time CDL-A drivers out of Kansas City, MO to run regional routes delivering parts and supplies to automotive dealerships, with multiple stops along the way. You'll travel during the week and typically be home on weekends.

Pay

• Drivers average $130,000 a year

• You can earn up to an extra $10,400 a year in performance incentives

• Referring another driver can earn you up to $5,000 per referral

• Paychecks go out every Friday

Home time

• Expect overnight travel on weekdays, with weekends typically off

• You'll be dispatched to a work location and stay there for the length of the assignment; start times shift depending on the job

What you'll haul

• Multi-stop runs delivering parts and supplies to automotive dealerships

• You'll unload freight yourself using pallet jacks, hand trucks and rolling cages, and scan items as they come off the trailer

Equipment

• You'll run newer trucks maintained by Penske, built for comfort and safety

• Trucks have inward- and outward-facing cameras in the cab

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL, and you must live in the U.S. and be licensed in your state of residence

• Must hold or be able to get a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card

• At least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in the past 3 years, or 2 years in the past 5 years

• No more than two moving violations or accidents on your 3-year driving record

• Must be proficient in English to meet federal DOT requirements

• Able to work the assigned schedule and location, pass a background check (employment, education, criminal history) and a drug screening

• This is a safety-sensitive, DOT-regulated role, so you need to be able to stay alert and work safely throughout your shift

• You must be able to see and hear well enough to drive safely, move around frequently (standing, walking, sitting, reaching), lift up to 50 lbs/23 kg regularly and occasionally up to 100 lbs/45 kg, and safely get in and out of the cab and cargo area
