About this job
Our company is hiring solo CDL-A drivers for a dedicated Target account running overnight between West Jefferson, OH and the Chicago area. You'll need at least 3 months of recent Class A CDL experience and be comfortable with night work and city stops.
Pay
- Weekly pay estimated at $1,860 - $2,539, with yearly pay up to $130,000
- Pay includes mileage pay, stop pay, and detention pay
- Estimates based on 1+ years of experience
Home time
- Home 2-3 days a week with a 34-hour reset
- 24/7 operation with varying shift times, currently 9PM to noon, 7 days a week
- No set days off
What you'll haul
- Loads run from West Jefferson, OH into downtown Chicago and nearby suburbs, with shuttle points in Whitestown, IN and Demotte, IN
- Mix of shuttles, full loads, and store deliveries, mostly pre-loaded on tri-temp and dual-temp reefers
- Inner city stores require lift gate and pallet jack use; most are store-unload where you observe
Equipment
- Automatic transmission trucks pulling 28' and 53' trailers
- Trucks can be parked in a secured location
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 21 years old
- 3+ months of recent Class A CDL experience
- Not suited for students, recent grads, or trainees
