About this job
Regional dry van driving job with a major nationwide carrier, running freight across TX-OK-LA-MS-AR-TN-AL. You'll be out for two weeks at a time, then home to reset. New drivers with less than 6 months of experience are welcome to start as trainees.
Pay
- Experienced drivers earn $0.59-$0.72 per mile based on your tractor trailer experience
- Plus $15 per stop
- Weekly average runs $1,100-$1,300, with 1,700-2,000 miles per week
- Trainees get a flat $650 per week during a 4-6 week training period, with the exact rate depending on your background and verifiable experience
What you'll haul
- Dry van freight, with live load/unload, preload, and drop and hook work
- No touch freight
Home time
- Out for 2 weeks, then home for your reset
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean record
- Your CDL address must match the hiring area
- No SAP drivers; you'll need to pass a hair follicle drug screen
- No terminations from your last driving job
- 6 months of experience driving a 53' tractor trailer within the past year (school, dump truck, straight truck, and garbage truck experience don't count) - or you can start as a trainee if you don't meet this yet
