CDL-A Regional Dry Van Driver — $1,300 Average Weekly Pay

This is a regional dry van job for a CDL-A driver running Texas-only routes out of South Texas. Freight is no-touch, you are home weekly, and weekly pay averages $1,300.

Pay

• Average of $1,300 per week, with a $220 daily minimum.

• Extra mileage-based bonuses are available when you reach 1,700, 1,800, 1,900 or 2,000 miles.

• There is no short-haul pay.

Schedule and home time

• You work 6 days, then get 2 days off.

• You are home weekly, and both day and night shifts are open.

• Expect some holiday work when needed.

• Runs follow Texas Hours of Service rules.

What you'll haul

• Dry van freight within Texas only, roughly a 250-mile operating area and about 1,300 miles a week.

• Lanes cover Houston, San Antonio, Laredo, McAllen, Brownsville and Harlingen.

• Loads are no-touch, mixing drop-and-hook, live loads, live unloads and preloaded trailers.

• You haul for a variety of customers rather than one dedicated account.

Requirements

• A valid Class A CDL and a current DOT medical card.

• At least 6 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.

• A clean driving record; SAP drivers are not eligible.

• Open to the 6-on, 2-off schedule and to working some holidays.

• A hazmat endorsement is preferred but not required.
