About this job
Our company, a major Texas drayage carrier, is looking for Owner Operators to run local and regional drayage freight around the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. You'll be home every night, with daily pre-planned loads and mostly drop and hook work.
Pay
- Owner Operators can earn $250,000+ per year, up to $5,000 per week
- Pay starts from $5,000.00 per week
- Fuel surcharge is paid as a percentage of the gross load amount, so fuel price swings don't eat into your profit
- Extra pay available for bobtail runs, chassis splits, wait time, Hazmat loads, and overweight loads
- $6,000 sign-on bonus for joining this month
- Referral and safety bonuses on top of your regular earnings
- Settlements are processed weekly for steady cash flow
Home time and schedule
- Home every night
- Freight stays local and regional within the DFW Metroplex
- Loads are dispatched a day ahead so you can plan your schedule like a business owner
- No forced dispatch - you pick the loads that make sense for you
What you'll haul
- About 92% of loads are drop and hook, cutting down time spent waiting at terminals
- DFW is one of the largest inland freight markets in the country, so freight volume stays steady
- Backed by a network connected to Port Houston and major ports on the East Coast and Southeast
Equipment and support
- Private chassis access so equipment is always available
- Fuel discounts and a fuel card provided
- Plate program available to help with compliance
- Dispatch support available 24/7
- GWI Move app lets you message, upload documents, and get dispatched right from your cab
- Free parking at our company facilities
- You'll operate under our company' authority
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL, minimum age 21
- At least 1 year of verifiable CDL-A experience within the last 10 years
- No more than 2 moving violations or 2 preventable accidents in the last 2 years, with no more than 3 combined
- Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen
- Your truck must be GPA-registered and pass inspection; sleeper cabs and double-axle day cabs are accepted, with no age limit on the truck
The hiring carrier's name is shared with you once you apply through the DriverRoll app, where you can message them directly.
