About this job
Our company is hiring CDL-A drivers for several types of routes, including USPS contract freight, dedicated accounts, local, regional and OTR work. Where you land depends on your ZIP code, your experience level and the home time you want.
Pay by position
- Trainee: approximately $700 weekly
- Local: approximately $1,400 weekly
- Regional: approximately $1,800 weekly
- OTR dedicated: approximately $2,300 weekly
- OTR USPS: approximately $2,300 weekly
Home time
- Local drivers return home every day
- Regional drivers get home every few days or weekly, depending on the account
- OTR dedicated and OTR USPS schedules are less predictable, with home time varying by route and account
What you'll haul
Most freight comes from USPS contracts and other dedicated accounts, mainly drop-and-hook, so there's little loading or unloading involved. Routes run year-round and are steady rather than seasonal.
Where you'll run
Operations are concentrated east of I-35, covering the Midwest, South and Southeast. There are no West Coast routes and no runs into New York City.
Equipment
Trucks are model years 2022 through 2026, kept in good condition. You'll be assigned equipment based on the account and what's available.
Requirements
- Trainee positions: open to drivers with under three months of Class A experience, including those with no driving experience yet, as long as you hold or will soon hold a physical Class A CDL (paid training provided)
- Local positions: at least three months of Class A experience
- Regional positions: at least four months of Class A experience
- OTR dedicated positions: at least six months of Class A experience
- OTR USPS positions: at least two years of Class A experience
