DNA Logistix is hiring Class A shuttle drivers for local and regional delivery runs out of Brandon, MS. This is a 1099 contractor role with daily pay and a set weekday schedule.
Pay
- $200 to $240 per day, paid weekly
- Occasional travel assignments to other markets pay an extra $50/day per diem, with flights, hotel and rental car covered
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, full time, with occasional weekend work
- Choice of early shift (4:00 AM to 2:30 PM) or later shift (2:30 PM to 1:00 AM), which can shift based on volume
- Home every day, weekends normally off
What you'll do
- Drive your assigned truck on a set, dedicated route
- Load, secure and unload freight as needed, including scanning shipments
- Match load contents to the manifest and get signatures or scans at delivery
- Inspect your vehicle before and after each trip, check weather and road conditions, and keep ELD logs
- Stay in contact with dispatch and follow FMCSA/DOT rules
Requirements
- Valid Class A license with 3 years of verified tractor-trailer driving experience
- Clean driving record with no moving violations
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must pass a background check, drug screening and Clearinghouse check, and hold a current DOT medical card
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and using a pallet jack, hand truck or electric lift
- Strong GPS/routing skills and a good sense of direction
