About this job
Our company, a small Atlanta-based carrier, is looking for a solo CDL-A driver for OTR and regional runs. You'll be part of a team-focused operation hauling refrigerated freight over long distances.
Pay
- Up to $90,000 a year, paid weekly as 1099 contract pay
- $0.65 per mile for both loaded and empty miles
- Performance bonuses available on top of base pay
Home time
- Typically 2 weeks out, then 3 to 4 days home
What you'll haul
- Refrigerated trailers, handled carefully to protect the cargo
- Manual transmission equipment
Requirements
- CDL-A preferred
- At least 2 years of OTR driving experience (3 years preferred)
- Skilled with manual transmissions
- Solid understanding of commercial driving rules and safe practices
- Clean 3-year MVR with no major violations or accidents
- Able to pass a drug screen and agree to random UA testing
- Comfortable doing basic repairs and running equipment checks at the start and end of each shift, plus weekly maintenance reviews
