About this job
Our company is looking for full-time W-2 solo and team OTR drivers to run dry van freight with lots of drop and hook loads. You'll drive late-model Volvo and Freightliner automatics and get round-the-clock support from the company.
Pay
Team drivers can earn up to $0.90 per mile, made up of $0.80 per mile base pay plus a $0.05 per mile safety bonus and a $0.05 per mile productivity bonus. Solo drivers can earn up to $0.80 per mile, with $0.70 per mile base pay for qualifying drivers plus the same two $0.05 per mile bonuses. You're paid for every mile, loaded or empty. Safety and productivity bonuses are based on all miles run in a given month and paid out the month after, as long as you avoid violations, equipment damage and excessive idling. Annual pay is listed at $80,000.00-$120,000.00.
Bonuses and extra pay
- Clean inspection bonus, up to $1,000
- $1,000 for referring another driver
- Detention, layover and extra-stop pay
Home time and holidays
Six holidays are paid: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Off that day? You get $200 in holiday pay. Working it instead? You get your normal pay plus another $200 on top. PTO is also provided.
What you'll haul
Expect dry van loads with frequent drop and hook, so less waiting around at docks.
Equipment
Trucks are Volvo and Freightliner automatics, fitted with an APU, inverter and microwave. Pets can ride along, and if there's no company yard close by, you can take the truck home.
What the job involves
You'll haul freight safely, handle pickups and deliveries, inspect your truck and flag any maintenance issues, keep your e-logs and paperwork in order, stay in touch with dispatch on load status, and look after the equipment while representing the company well.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of CDL-A driving experience
- No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years
- No DUI within the past 5 years
- Able to work with e-logs and a smartphone
- Meets DOT and company safety standards
- Willing and available for over-the-road work
Benefits
401(k), health insurance, paid time off, a passenger ride-along program, a pet rider program and a referral program.
