About this job
Our company needs CDL-A drivers for OTR freight running out of Wisconsin, Maryland, and West Virginia. You'll be back home every weekend, hauling dry van loads mostly between Wisconsin and the Northeast.
Pay
- Starts at $0.71 per mile, with added pay for detention time, breakdowns, and stops
- Most drivers bring home $100,000-$120,000 per year
Home time
- Weekends off, usually two days a week
What you'll haul
- Dry van trailers pulled by a sleeper cab tractor
- Steady freight lanes running mainly between Wisconsin and Pennsylvania plus other Northeastern states
Requirements
- Current Class A CDL
- 6 months or more of tractor-trailer experience is preferred; new grads with less time behind the wheel can go through a Wisconsin-based training program
- Able to handle OTR routes that include overnight stays
- Clean safety record with a history of on-time deliveries
