About this job
Our company, a small family-owned company in Lagrange, IN, needs a fourth full-time driver to haul lumber using flatbed and enclosed trailers. You'll run 3 nights a week over the road and be home every weekend.
Pay
- $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
- Overtime after 40 hours per week
- Paid holidays
Schedule
- Full-time, 3 nights per week on the road
- Weekends off
What you'll haul
- Lumber, transported safely using flatbed trucks, semis, and enclosed trailers
What you'll do
- Load and unload freight following proper handling procedures
- Complete routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Plan efficient local and non-local routes to hit delivery windows
- Keep accurate delivery and inspection records
- Follow all traffic laws and safety rules
- Stay in communication with the team on delivery status and issues
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with endorsements matching the equipment
- Truck driving experience preferred
- Forklift or other loading equipment experience preferred
- Solid grasp of traffic laws and safe freight handling
- Strong time management and ability to work independently
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
