Our company in Houston, TX is looking for an OTR CDL-A driver to haul freight on long-haul routes across the country. You'll work with a mix of trailer types and keep deliveries running on schedule and safely.
Pay
- Starts from $2,000.00 per week
What you'll haul
- Tractor-trailers with manual transmission
- Mixed freight: refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks and roll-off trucks
- You'll load and unload cargo yourself when needed, using forklifts or other equipment
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license
- At least 1 year of verifiable experience driving an 18-wheeler or semi-truck
- Minimum age 21
- Comfortable with manual transmission and vehicle controls
- Clean driving record
- Able to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and physically assist with freight handling
Responsibilities
- Drive safely across varied routes while following traffic laws and DOT rules
- Plan routes to balance delivery deadlines with fuel efficiency
- Stay in touch with dispatch on pickups, drop-offs and any route changes
- Keep accurate logs of hours, deliveries and vehicle maintenance
