CDL-A OTR Truck Driver — $89,000–$110,000/yr

Run long-haul routes across the country as an OTR driver, hauling a mix of freight types for our company LLC. You'll need to be comfortable with varied equipment and committed to safety and DOT compliance on the road.

What you'll haul

• Tractor-trailers on long-distance, multi-state routes

• Refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers and specialized units such as dump trucks or roll-offs depending on the route

• Hazmat and other dangerous goods, following all required hazardous materials rules

What you'll do

• Plan routes and monitor traffic using GPS while meeting DOT delivery timelines

• Load and unload freight by hand or with forklift equipment, securing cargo properly for transit

• Check cargo for damage or discrepancies before leaving and after arriving

• Keep accurate logs, inspection reports and other records required under FMCSA rules

• Stay in contact with dispatch and customers to confirm schedules and sort out any issues with routes or loads

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record

• Solid experience driving commercial trucks on multi-state routes

• Comfortable operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers or other specialized equipment

• Working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT and hazmat safety rules

• Confident with manual transmissions; forklift experience is a plus

• Strong freight handling and loading/unloading skills

• Able to navigate efficiently using GPS for long routes

• Physically able to load and unload freight and work in different weather conditions
