About this job
Our company is hiring a CDL-A over-the-road driver based in Salt Lake City, UT. You will haul packaging products for the company and also check orders, inspect equipment and help with loading and unloading. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is on offer.
Pay and bonus
- $5,000 sign-on bonus, included in your first paycheck (applicable taxes are withheld)
- Wages are described as competitive; no rate is listed
Home time and schedule
- Home on weekends
- Runs are similar from one week to the next
- Drop and hook about half the time
- Newer equipment
What you'll do
- Check tickets and confirm each order is going to the correct location
- Inspect your equipment to make sure it is safe
- Follow EDL procedures every day
- Use small tools and forklift equipment to load and unload shipments
- Help sort orders during delivery
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL (required) and a clean MVR for the past 2 years
- 1 to 2 years of experience driving a 53' tractor trailer
- Able to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Safe forklift operation; training is provided if you have not done it before
- Basic computer, reading, mechanical and GPS skills
- Must pass the Federal DOT drug test, a background check, and prior employment and safety verification as required by DOT
