About this job
Our company, a family-owned carrier based in Katy, Texas, is hiring a full-time CDL Class A driver for over-the-road runs. You would haul refrigerated and flatbed freight in an automatic tractor-trailer and are paid a share of each load's revenue. The company is hiring immediately.
Pay
- You earn 30% of gross load revenue.
- The company estimates $1,500–$2,500 per week, depending on freight volume and the loads you complete.
What you'll haul
- Refrigerated and flatbed freight on OTR routes across state lines.
- Automatic transmission equipment.
What you'll do
- Drive safely and deliver freight on schedule.
- Inspect the truck before and after each trip.
- Keep your electronic logs (ELD) accurate and follow DOT and FMCSA rules.
- Stay in touch with dispatch, brokers and customers.
- Secure freight properly and report any equipment problems quickly.
Requirements
- A valid CDL Class A license and tractor-trailer experience you can verify.
- A clean, safe driving record.
- DOT medical qualification and passing required drug and alcohol tests.
- Good knowledge of DOT rules and hours-of-service regulations.
- Eligibility under the company's insurance requirements.
- Reefer or flatbed experience is preferred.
