Local CDL-A Delivery Driver — $30–$32.80/hr

Our company is hiring a CDL-A delivery driver in Houston, TX. You will run foodservice deliveries on highway and city streets, back into tight docks and unload by hand at each stop. The shift is Monday to Friday with early-morning starts.

Pay

• Base rate of $30.00 to $32.80 per hour, depending on experience, skills and location

• Overtime, a retention bonus or component pay (based on cases, mileage or stops) may also apply

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, start time between 2:00am and 5:00am

• Based in Houston, TX

What you'll do

• Drive routes safely and deliver on time

• Unload with a two-wheeler, ramp or by hand and place product in the customer's storage areas; this is 100% touch freight

• Confirm deliveries and get customer signatures

• Inspect your equipment before and after each trip

• Collect payments when the account calls for it

• Take on other duties management assigns

Physical demands

• Repeatedly lift, carry, push or pull 20 to 80+ lbs

• Make 10+ stops per shift, including in bad weather

• Work in multi-temperature conditions, down to 0 degrees

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A from your state of residence, with the needed endorsements and DOT qualifications

• Age 21 or older

• At least 6 months of commercial driving in any industry, or 3 months in food or beverage delivery

• Registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse

• Ability to read, speak and write English well enough to follow road signs, answer official questions and fill out records

• Manual transmission skills are preferred and may be required at some locations
