CDL-A OTR Truck Driver — $29/hr + $5,000 Sign-On Bonus

This is an over-the-road Class A driving job based out of Oakland, NJ with our company Group. You will haul product between distribution centers and vendor destinations, following all DOT rules, on a Monday-to-Friday shift with weekends at home.

Pay

• $29.00 an hour

• Overtime at time and a half after 40 hours and double time after 60 hours

• $5,000 sign-on bonus for Class A drivers on regional and OTR runs (local positions are not included)

• Layover pay of $60.00 per night for regional and OTR drivers (Class A, B and C)

• $50.00 per month toward your cellphone use

Home time and travel

• Shift runs Monday through Friday, and you are home on weekends

• Expect to be on the road about 75% of the time or more

• A passport is not required but is recommended

What you'll do

• Drive a tractor-trailer or straight truck and get product to its destination on time and within DOT regulations

• Check that straps and securing devices hold the load so freight arrives undamaged

• Complete a full pre-trip and post-trip inspection on your tractor-trailer

• Keep your daily logs, trip reports and any other required paperwork up to date

• Keep the truck fueled, clean and ready for inspection, and take responsibility for the tools and equipment assigned to you

• Report damaged product and any delivery problems to the Transportation Supervisor/Manager right away

• Follow company policy, attend required trainings, and follow DOT and OSHA rules

• Stay professional with other drivers on the road and take on other reasonable requests from management

Requirements

• Class A CDL

• At least 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience in Class A

• A clean driving record

• Pass a background check and drug screening

• Meet FMCSA and company requirements
