About this job
Our company needs a CDL Class A driver for OTR and local freight, running company-owned trucks on a 1099 contractor basis. This is steady, year-round freight with no forced dispatch.
Pay
- Paid weekly as 28% per load
- Typical weekly earnings run $1,500 - $1,900
What you'll haul
- Semi truck tractor-trailer freight, mostly OTR with local runs about 10% of the time
- Multi-state freight lanes, daily freight starts around 8:30 AM
Requirements
- CDL Class A license
- At least 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
- 1 year of OTR experience
- Valid DOT medical card
- Clean MVR and ability to pass a background check
- Reliable transportation to the truck's location in Duluth, GA
What you'll do
- Drive OTR and local routes, report to dispatch by 8:30 AM daily
- Communicate professionally with dispatch
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Follow DOT safety rules and company procedures
- Secure and protect freight and equipment
