CDL-A OTR Truck Driver — $2,033.18–$4,500.00/week

Our company is hiring a CDL-A driver for over-the-road routes out of Macon, GA. You'll handle a mix of equipment types and freight, from refrigerated loads to flatbed and tanker shipments, while keeping everything compliant and on schedule.

• Freight types include refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, flatbed loads and tanker shipments

• Routes run regional or national

What the job involves

• Driving OTR routes while following FMCSA and DOT rules

• Loading, unloading and securing freight using proper restraints and manual handling methods

• Planning routes with GPS, tracking traffic, and hitting delivery windows

• Doing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, logging hours and keeping cargo paperwork in order

• Staying current with hazmat handling rules when carrying dangerous goods

• Keeping dispatch updated on route progress, delays or problems on the road

• Running basic maintenance checks to keep the truck safe and road-ready

Requirements

• Solid background driving commercial trucks, including manual transmission tractor-trailers

• Comfortable operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers and other specialized trailers

• Strong grasp of FMCSA, DOT and hazmat safety rules

• Able to plan routes using GPS tools for efficient scheduling

• Capable of safely loading and unloading freight, including heavy or awkward items

• Experience handling dangerous goods when needed
